Successful Mission Trip

This past Wednesday-Saturday (July 26-29) I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Wilmot, Arkansas. Wilmot is a place where there is great need for love, hope, and physical needs. I, along with 7 other families from our church, teamed up with Eagle Family Ministries out of Bentonville, Arkansas and led VBS, sports camps, dance camps, food, clothing, and hygiene distribution, and helped with construction of their community building. Each night we met at a local church for a high energy, spirit-filled worship service. Five teenagers and ten children gave their life to Jesus Christ. I was truly blessed by spending time with the wonderful people of Wilmot. They were so appreciative and kind for our efforts to bring them hope. It was an exciting week for our church as forty people went on mission trips to Wilmot, Gulfport, and Nicaragua. Earlier this summer twenty-five students and adults went to Chicago for an inner city mission trip. If you have never had the opportunity to go on mission for the cause of Christ I highly encourage you to do so. It is rewarding and life-changing. If you have gone on one before I would love to hear where and how it impacted your life.
